Automated Survey of Pavement Distress (Sunday, January 10, 2010, 9:00
a.m.-noon, Marriott)

Sponsored by Committee on Pavement Monitoring, Evaluation and Data Storage;
Committee on Pavement Management Systems

This workshop focuses on use of new technologies for automated survey of
pavement distresses. Recently, advances have been made to high-resolution
pavement image acquisition and 3D surface characteristics systems. As the
industry shifts to these new technologies, attempts have been made to analyze
the data for distress surveys. The workshop covers implementation experiences
with new technologies, new cracking protocols for network- and project-level
analysis, and application of data in PMS.
