The Transportation Asset Management Committee, in cooperation with the
Statewide Transportation Data and Information Systems Committee, and the
Geographic Information Science and Applications Committee are sponsoring a
workshop on "Geographic Information Systems for Asset Management" on Sunday,
January 10, 2010 from 9:00 am to noon.
This workshop focuses on the use of GIS for asset management decision making.
FHWA, TRB, and AASHTO are organizing a peer exchange on this topic in 2010.
This workshop provides an overview of the peer exchange plans and further
explores relevant needs and issues identified by a recent survey. Several
transportation agencies will brief the participants on the how they utilize
geospatial tools to support asset management in their organizations.

Bill, this workshop will take place during TRB and open for all to
participate. You don't need to register for the workshop but you need to
register for TRB. If you can't attend TRB, we will make the presentations
available through this site after the TRB meeting.
